Students in Ms. Emery's classes during the 2004-2005 school year completed two projects to serve the community. The first project was a PowerPoint presentation expaining and depicting the local historical Walking Tour. The second project was to enter the data from a thesis written in 1959 by Jack Williams. The data was then edited and compiled to be produced in the book "Chronicles and Legends of Milton."
See below for pictures and information about their work.

Work continues on walking tour
Milton--Two more alumni from outside the Milton area have made a donation to the Milton Historic Downtown Walking Tour, while students from the area continue to work to make the tour a success.
Harry Schell, Class of 1951, and his wife, Arlene Schell, Class of 1954, of Macungie, have donated $5,000 toward the Milton Historic Downtown Walking Tour toward stop number eight on the tour. Stop eight is the "Buoy Block" which is the open space south of Big Andy's on Sourth Front Street.
Arlene's father, Sidney Foust, was the president of the John Y. Buoy Co., once a major hardware store in downtown Milton. Other businesses that will also have stories and photos located at the stop are Allen's Western Auto, Alexander's, Bolen's, Grant's, Newberry's, the Elite Shoppe, Dreifuss and others.
The donation was made in memory of both Harry and Arlene's parents. Harry's father was president of the Reid Tobacco Co. in Milton.
Meanwhile, in Milton, students at Milton High School have been working with Nancy Walters and George Venior on two projects assocaited with the tour.
The first is a book based on the history of Milton schools and sponsored by the Milton High School Alumni Assocation It's approximately 243 pages and will be added as part of the curriculum in grades four, seven, and nine.
"The students really love the projects." Jamie Emery, teacher at Milton, said.
The second project is a PowerPoint presentation students are creating for the downtown walking tour. The tour used this as a way to connect to a younger generation.
Anyone interested in learning more about the Milton Historic Downtown Walking Tour, The Main Street Program and TIME (The Improved Milton Experience), can attend an open meeting at 6 tonight in the borough building. The meeting will precede the borough council meeting at 7.
